Job Objective
Organize, Co-ordinate and Control the strategic planning process, which entails preparation of plans, monitoring implementation and evaluation of plan achievements in terms of business performance, strategy and objectives of the plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Manager is as follows:-
  • To spearhead formulation of strategic corporate business plans (short, medium and long term).
  • To participate in the development of policies and strategies that will help management achieve corporate goal and objectives as stipulated in the business plans.
  • Carry out the implementation process of the plans, enhancing its achievement through continuous monitoring and evaluation and guiding management on achievements and any other needs arising from the process.
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of service quality standards and targets, making broad recommendations for redressing performance gaps.
  • Develop measurable parameters to be used in measuring strategy implementation and ensuring that business managers understand them.
  • To carry out business environmental studies and analysis that has a bearing on postal services development.
  • Carry out business research in an effort to improve the current products and also introducing new products to expand the product portfolio.
  • Undertake planning, monitoring and evaluating the performance of staff against set targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams
  • To supervise staff under your section.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the HOD/ Marketing, Research & Strategy
Qualifications and Skills
The qualifications and experience of the manager is as follows:-
  • Be a holder of a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Strategic
  • Management or a business related  field
  • A Diploma in Project Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Strategic
  • Management or a business related  field
  • Masters degree in Strategic Management will be an added advantage.
  • Should have at least 7 years experience in a related field.
  • Be Computer literate.
  • Be a member of a professional body.
  • Good communication, organizations and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Be result oriented and team player.
  • Be analytical, innovative and Strategic thinker.

Job Objective
Provide leadership and direction to the Corporation business systems development team through identification of internal and external customer’s objectives and challenges, designing solutions that optimize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Manager is as follows:-
  • Plan, manage and direct development, implementations, maintenance and support of business information systems in the Corporation.
  • Perform application systems evaluation and selection, UAT and quality assurance for both new and existing applications.
  • Manage large software/ERP implementation and maintenance projects.
  • Perform business process re-engineering to achieve efficiencies and cost effectiveness of both automated and manual procedures.
  • Formulate, recommend and manage continuous improvement procedures for business processes.
  • Review and develop ICT governance best practice policies.
  • Formulate and manage sectional budget
  • Provide guidance and leadership to staff in the section.
  • Champion ICT based innovations that will translate to business opportunities.
  • Assist other departments with conducting business researches.
  • Perform any other duty as may be directed by the controlling officer.
Qualifications
The qualifications and experience of the manager is as follows:-
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology/Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Diploma in ICT based studies or related field.
  • Professional ICT qualification
  • A Masters degree will be an added advantage.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to create and manage excellent working teams.
  • Developed analytical and modeling skills, strong commercial awareness, demonstrated experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Must have 7 years hands on experience in management of software development teams.
  • Must have accomplished a full ERP implementation cycle.
  • Should have knowledge of RDBMS (MS-SQL and ORACLE 10g databases), multi-lingual programming skills (Java C++, NET, Delphi and Web Development tools).
  • Understand ISO8583 switching protocol and PCIDSS.
  • Should have experience with software conversions specifically from legacy to network client/server environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player and with strong leadership.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
