Job
summary:
Reporting to the Commissioner Technical Support Services,
the Deputy Commissioner Marketing and
Communication will be responsible
for leading marketing and communication initiatives, with the primary aim of
entrenching a tax payment culture among Kenya's tax paying publics
Key responsibilities:
o Lead the development and implementation of
the KRA’s marketing and communication strategy ensuring alignment to the overall
business plan to support revenue collection.
o
Responsible for creating, implementing
and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and
public relations program that enhances KRA’s image.
o
Oversee the articulation of KRA’s
desired image and position and assure consistent communication of the same both
internally and externally
o
Coordinate media interest in the
organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate
response to media requests.
o
Responsible for conceptualizing,
developing and executing of internal and external communication projects that
support the strategic and operating goals of the business.
o
Oversee the formulation and
implementation of departmental budgets and regular review and enhancement of
internal controls.
o
Responsible for establishing, managing
and maintaining transformative networks with internal and external
stakeholders.
o
Provide leadership and undertake
efficient and effective management of staff to ensure departmental targets are
achieved.
o

required
