Job Objective
Organize, Co-ordinate and Control the strategic planning process, which entails preparation of plans, monitoring implementation and evaluation of plan achievements in terms of business performance, strategy and objectives of the plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Manager is as follows:- To spearhead formulation of strategic corporate business plans (short, medium and long term). To participate in the development of policies and strategies that will help management achieve corporate goal and objectives as stipulated in the business plans. Carry out the implementation process of the plans, enhancing its achievement through continuous monitoring and evaluation and guiding management on achievements and any other needs arising from the process. Evaluation of the effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of service quality standards and targets, making broad recommendations for redressing performance gaps. Develop measurable parameters to be used in measuring strategy implementation and ensuring that business managers understand them. To carry out business environmental studies and analysis that has a bearing on postal services development. Carry out business research in an effort to improve the current products and also introducing new products to expand the product portfolio. Undertake planning, monitoring and evaluating the performance of staff against set targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams To supervise staff under your section. Perform any other duties as assigned by the HOD/ Marketing, Research & Strategy
Qualifications and Skills
The qualifications and experience of the manager is as follows:- Be a holder of a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Strategic Management or a business related  field A Diploma in Project Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Strategic Management or a business related  field Masters degree in Strategic Management will be an added advantage. Should have at least 7 years experience in a related field. Be Computer literate. Be a member of a professional body. Good communication, organizations and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership skills. Be result oriented and team player. Be analytical, innovative and Strategic thinker.

Job Objective

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
The qualifications and experience of the manager is as follows:- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology/Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized University. Diploma in ICT based studies or related field. Professional ICT qualification A Masters degree will be an added advantage. Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to create and manage excellent working teams. Developed analytical and modeling skills, strong commercial awareness, demonstrated experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Must have 7 years hands on experience in management of software development teams. Must have accomplished a full ERP implementation cycle. Should have knowledge of RDBMS (MS-SQL and ORACLE 10g databases), multi-lingual programming skills (Java C++, NET, Delphi and Web Development tools). Understand ISO8583 switching protocol and PCIDSS. Should have experience with software conversions specifically from legacy to network client/server environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Team player and with strong leadership. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Summary of job profile

 The maintenance of Core IP Backbone Network (IP/MPLS) and the Enterprise Network

 Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met for all Services

Persons profile:

 An in depth understanding of QoS Diffserv, CoS, Traffic Shaping and Traffic QoS Policy
Implementation is required
 Understanding of ISP Core Network Architecture
 Excellent practical experience of network security including Firewall and VPN
 Hands on experience in IP Service Level Agreement deployment in CISCO environment

 Good knowledge of MPLS (LDP and RSVP-TE) and QoS is required
 Knowledge of network management and monitoring tools (e.g. Orion Net Solar-Winds,

Summary of job profile
To install and maintain telecommunication systems as well as provide network support to the
organization’s WAN clients in order to meet and maintain set service level objectives.
 
Key responsibilities will include;-

 Wimax Network Optimization: Analyze and optimize Wimax systems in 3.3GHz and 5.3GHz
spectrum using specific RF Optimization tools. Execute RF designs for specific markets including
capacity and frequency planning and propose optimization techniques through field work and
statistical analysis
 Carryout Analysis & Mapping, Interference analysis, Engineering Design, Coverage mapping, Link
budget calculations, Profiles calculation for LOS, link capacity dimensioning, routing design and
proposal preparation.
 Perform Microwave Links RF calculations and design
 Installation of VSAT and Wireless communications terminals
 Conduct site surveys and generate implementation reports.

and proposal preparation.
 Carry out periodic & corrective maintenance of VSAT terminals and other telecommunications
equipment.

 Provide Technical support to iWayAfrica broadband & Wireless clients.
 
Persons profile:

 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or
any other relevant discipline.
 Minimum 3 years practical experience in design, deployment and maintenance of VSAT based
WAN, LAN’s, Terrestrial Wireless and Wired Networks and Cisco based routing
 Specific experience in using commercial RF network planning tools for Wireless Broadband
 Working knowledge of IEEE 802.X standards
 An understanding of RF propagation models and their application for Wireless Broadband
 Knowledge with RF measurement equipment (spectrum analyzer, power meter, etc.)
 Able to understand the workings of telecommunication technologies
 Good knowledge of engineering mathematics and calculus.
 Good organizational skills
 Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals
 Project planning and implementation skills
 Ability to discuss and present information in a clear and concise manner
 Ability to exercise judgment to solve technical problems where the answer is not apparent
 Organized with natural forward planner abilities
 Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Job Purpose: To manage the effective implementation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure at the University.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain voice and data infrastructure across the university – LAN, Internet Access, Wi-Fi networks, VPN, NAC etc.
• Ensure communications infrastructure is adequately secured against internal and external attacks
• Ensure redundant links and devices operate efficiently in the event of a disaster
• Liaise with service providers to ensure 99% uptime and access to learning and research services hosted on campus
• Responsible for backup and disaster recovery of communications infrastructure systems and software
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures to streamline service delivery across the various equipment platforms the University runs
• Responsible for the effective operation of the datacenters on the campus
• In conjunction with the ICT Director, develop annual budgets for the section in line with the strategic plan
• Managing a team of infrastructure administrators to deliver projects on a timely and cost effective manner
• Ensuring the infrastructure team receive appropriate training to execute their duties effectively as technology changes

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or other relevant course from an accredited university
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• At least three years’ experience maintaining a large 500+ node site
